October Ambassador Spotlight
The Invisible Disabilities Association is featuring Dr. Fishon in its October Ambassador Spotlight series, reprinted with credit to IDA:
With more than 30 years of experience in marketing, communications, and leadership, Dr. Fishon has used his professional expertise and personal experiences with invisible disabilities to advocate for accessibility, inclusion, and meaningful change.
He is also the creator of XTERMIGATOR Kids, a children’s book series that encourages understanding, kindness, and acceptance of differences through storytelling.
The movement
Dr. Fishon builds for one goal: a disability doesn’t need to be an inability. Through the Dr. Disruptor Network he creates tools, stories and research for people with invisible disabilities and the people who teach, hire and love them.
Saturday: the game
Launching Saturday, October 24: “I Am Invisible No More”, a five-minute story game. You are Sam, a student living with invisible chronic pain, choosing when to push through and when to ask for what you need. Xtermigator Kids characters guide each scene. Built to be accessible: full keyboard play, screen-reader friendly, large text, no timers, no flashing.
Until then, his earlier game is live: “Bridging The Accommodation Gap”, where you play a university Director of Accessibility Services making the policy calls.
